Most forms of entertainment are familiar to us and can be found in any culture. Dance, music, drama, and storytelling all exist in various forms, and all were used in the royal courts of different times. As time progressed, these types of performances became more sophisticated and were available to all citizens. Today, the entertainment industry has expanded to include recording and producing these products.
Storytelling is an ancient form of entertainment that has influenced almost every other form of entertainment. In addition to providing entertainment, stories help us think through the conflicts of human life. Written stories are often enhanced with illustrations, which are often of high artistic quality. In ancient times, stories were common forms of entertainment for groups traveling together. This form of entertainment evolved into movies and video games. However, the majority of entertainment nowadays involves sedentary engagement with advanced technology.
The evolution of light entertainment has led to many forms of entertainment. Movies have become a popular medium for entertainment. Some movies are based on classic plays, such as “Annie,” while others are more contemporary and experimental. Aside from movie theaters, live performances are also a popular form of entertainment. Many modern artists have adapted play forms for their own purposes.
